West Lothian HSCP launches Data Driven December

Good quality data and information helps us deliver better quality care and support, and by analysing this data, we can improve outcomes for our service users. 

Throughout December the partnership will be celebrating how we have made good use of data throughout 2022.

We are asking staff to submit examples of how data has been used to improve practice by Friday 16 December, with prizes awarded to the best submissions. A copy of the submission form can be found here on the West Lothian HSCP website.

Alison White, Director of West Lothian HSCP, said: "We know that better use of routine data can support care, drive service improvement and enable research and innovation.

"To realise these benefits, we are asking all of our staff to engage with Data Driven December, our initiative to promote the benefits of using data to improve the experience of those in our care."

There will be a kick-off event on Wednesday 7 December at 9.30am where West Lothian HSCP staff can find out what is involved in the competition.

There will also be events available throughout the coming weeks, with the first half dedicated to speakers from different services, along with a second half where staff can ask questions about how they can use data more effectively.

Alison added: "There has been some really innovative uses of data throughout 2022 and Data Driven December allows us to celebrate its use. I encourage all staff to take part in the campaign and applaud the great work we have undertaken this year as a partnership."
