Could you give some time to help us offer support to anyone affected by cancer at our information and support service?

Volunteers can come from any background, should have good communication skills and a helpful, friendly manner.

We are looking for people to join us as

  • Information and Support volunteers
  • Community based volunteers (Oncology Ward St John's Hospital)

Macmillan @ West Lothian is a volunteer led cancer information and support service, based in local partnership centres across the county. We are looking for male and female volunteers to help deliver this service and provide support to anyone affected by cancer at weekly drop in sessions and community events.

Volunteers will be asked to commit 2 - 3 hours each week to offer visitors a listening ear, information that meets their needs and help to access specialist services such as welfare rights advice and counselling.

Volunteers can come from any background and should have good communication skills and a helpful, friendly manner. Volunteers should be over 18 and willing to commit to role related training

Full training and support and out of pocket travel expenses will be provided.
