Jobs in Residential Care - older people
The council runs several residential homes in West Lothian for people who have been assessed as no longer able to manage in their own home.
We have four council run care homes where our primary purpose is to provide quality care home services for people aged over 65 who are no longer able to live in their own home due to physical or mental frailty.

- Craigmair (30 Bedrooms), Livingston
- Limecroft (39 bedrooms), Livingston
- Burngrange (40 bedrooms), West Calder
There are a number of different job roles within care homes:
Social care support worker
Social care practitioner
Activities Co-ordinator
No previous experience or qualifications are necessary for social care support worker or activity co-ordinator roles. We offer opportunities for gaining SVQ levels 2 and 3 in social care. All training will be provided by our in-house training team to give you the skills and confidence you need to begin your career as a home carer.
