Digital Telecare Implementation Award
West Lothian Council and Health and Social Care Partnership have been awarded the Bronze and Sliver Digital Telecare Implementation Award
Digital Telecare for Scottish Local Government launched an Implementation Award Scheme to provide recognition to telecare service providers across Scotland when reaching five key milestones during their transition to digital telecare.
Digital Telecare for Scottish Local Government have awarded West Lothian Council and Health and Social Care Partnership the Bronze and Sliver Digital Telecare Implementation Award in recognition of the progress they have made on their analogue to digital telecare transition project.
To achieve the Bronze and Silver Digital Telecare Implementation Awards, a telecare service provider must have implemented a fully operational digital Alarm Receiving Centre Solution and have successfully completed penetration testing and internal acceptance testing. In doing so, West Lothian Council and Health and Social Care Partnership have now completed one of the most challenging stages of the transition, which frequently uncovers technical challenges which must be overcome before further progress can be made. Successful completion of this stage clearly demonstrates the security and safety of the digital solution West Lothian Council and Health and Social Care Partnership have implemented.
Following rigorous testing and evaluation, the new digital alarm call system has proven to be safe and secure set-up fit for the 21st Century. Achieving both the Bronze and Silver Digital Telecare Implementation Awards now paves the way for the roll-out of digital telecare to more West Lothian residents and to work towards Gold Level One accreditation as the number of digital units increase.
